It only actually costs around £8000 for a private jet but thats for 30 minutes for 2 people so work it out from there. I used to work in the aviation industry a few years back and its the charges that add up. Its around £150 an hour parking for a plane, fuel can run into thousands of pounds itself, id just forget it.

It generally depends on the size of the aircraft, and the length of the trip. For most smaller jets (Citation V, Ultra) the costs is roughly $3,000 per hour, so a typical trip would run you about $10,000. For a really big jet (Gulfstream V), the costs run around $15,000 per hour, so a typical trip would run you upwards of $50,000 USD. You don't have to be rich to afford a pirvate jet, but it's certainly not the cheapest way to travel. Also, with so many charter services out there, you can typical bid them against each other to get a better price.

The last time i did it it cost £450,000 to hire a converted 747 to fly from the UK to New Zealand and that was for 63 people plus 6 crew (not including the pilots and co-pilots, they were £10,000 extra).

Your best bet would be to approach a budget airline and try to get a discount on a group booking.

Chartering aeroplanes is not a thing you can do cheaply unfortunately.

It all depends where you actually want to go to, what type of aircraft is utilised. If you want dropping off and picking up a week or two later you will have to pay for two empty positioning legs.

If you want to drop me fuller details I can get you some pricings.

It will not be cheap. Try speaking to some of the tour operators group bookings departments you may find it cheaper.

Well, you need to be rich. Otherwise, just browse the online reservation websites for your best price. To charter a private jet will cost anywhere from $10k-$50k.

Well, lots of money I'm sure, but the environmental cost is astronomical. Just take a regular plane, and that's bad enough as it is. Why do you need to charter a jet?

Recently I had to hire a 727 for 45 people and our hourly cost was about $19,000 USD.

Wouldn;t that be nice? Well you;d need to buy some airline staff, pilots, runway time, baggage people, jet fuel and of course the jet for the duration of your trip.

That would probably run you upwards of $150 000

The general basis is, when you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it. People that hire jets etc don;t look at bank statements.

US$ 5000-10000 thousand an hour.
