The majority fail at least one checkride from beginning of private training to attaining CFI.

At some point in his or her career nearly 100% of pilots will fail a checkride or proficiency check (which is just like a checkride except you can get fired if you fail it). If it happened once, don't worry about it. If it happened 5 times, you got some 'splaining to do.

what is said here sounds pretty accurate. Pretty much all pilots will fail something at some point. Its all very hard
