Like others have said, you can start training at any age, but you need to be able to reach the rudder pedals and see out the window!

However (in the UK) any training before age 15 won't count towards the hours required for your license.

At 15 you can log hours with an instructor towards your license requirements.

At 16 you can go solo (when authorized by your instructor) and can complete all other requirements for the PPL including the License Skill Test.

If you have met all the requirements, you can get issued a PPL on your 17th birthday.

Since (worldwide) the age for first solo is 16, I suggest you start training at about 15 1/2, so as to solo on or soon after your 16th birthday.

The federal regulations state that you must be at least 16 years old to hold a student pilots license. A student pilots license allows to to fly solo. You can start training at any age. It will be up to the instructor, and if he thinks you are capable.

I started flying in 9th grade and got my student certificate at 16 and went on to fly commercially.

In the USA, you can take dual instruction from a certified flight instructor (CFI) at any age. You must be at least 16 years old to fly solo, and you can get your private pilot's certificate at age 17.

There is NO minimum age limit to START training.

Now to get the license is another thing but as far as starting your training, there is none

You can begin flight school AT ANY AGE. Some schools start trainnig students as young as seven. You make your first solo and get your SPL at age 16, your PPL at 17, your CPL at 18, and ATP at 23. I'm 13 and I'm starting my training right now.

age is not required for a pilot license.as long as you have a good eyesight certificate from an aeronautical approved oftalmologist then you can start your training and of course, prepare your pocket for the budget........................it`s not cheap than taking a driving license..................oh i almost forgot, you should have also finished a four year course like let`s say aeronautical engineering........................

My friend has been flying planes since he was 14. IDK if he has a license, though.
