Question:
Where in the FAR/AIM or other manuals does it layout airspace entry?

I'm a CFI, trying to reference information back to it's source. When entering B airspace, I know ATC needs to say "Clear to enter the Bravo airspace." But I cannot find where this is laid out in any publication. Also, for any C or D airspace, where does it spell out the difference between "Aircraft calling, standby" and "N12345, standby"? I know the rules, I just need to know where to find them. Thanks

WOW!!! you are a CFI??? I feel a 709 ride is in your future!

"It is important to understand that if the controller responds to the initial radio call without using the aircraft callsign, radio communications have not been established and the pilot may not enter the airspace."(From the AIM ,Chapter 3 section 2)

91.131 Operations in Class B airspace.

91.130 Operations in Class C airspace.

91.129 Operations in Class D airspace.

91.129 Operations in Class D airspace.

91.127 Operating on or in the vicinity of an airport in Class E airspace.

91.126 Operating on or in the vicinity of an airport in Class G airspace.

Class B

Operating Rules and Pilot/Equipment Requirements for VFR Operations. Regardless of weather conditions, an ATC clearance is required prior to operating within Class B airspace. Pilots should not request a clearance to operate within Class B airspace unless the requirements of 14 CFR Section 91.215 and 14 CFR Section 91.131 are met.

Class C

Arrival or Through Flight Entry Requirements. Two-way radio communication must be established with the ATC facility providing ATC services prior to entry and thereafter maintain those communications while in Class C airspace. Pilots of arriving aircraft should contact the Class C airspace ATC facility on the publicized frequency and give their position, altitude, radar beacon code, destination, and request Class C service. Radio contact should be initiated far enough from the Class C airspace boundary to preclude entering Class C airspace before two-way radio communications are established.

Class D

Arrival or Through Flight Entry Requirements. Two-way radio communication must be established with the ATC facility providing ATC services prior to entry and thereafter maintain those communications while in the Class D airspace. Pilots of arriving aircraft should contact the control tower on the publicized frequency and give their position, altitude, destination, and any request(s). Radio contact should be initiated far enough from the Class D airspace boundary to preclude entering the Class D airspace before two-way radio communications are established.

I'm just a PVT, in instrument training, but i believe that it is in the AIM. That is where the "meat" of the airpace stuff is. It's in the airspace section. Also, you can also use an Oral Exam guide, and find that question, then refer to the FAR/AIM reference numbers at the bottom. I know ASA does that. IF not, try googling it. I know i've read it somewhere, but that would be the first place to look. Also, it may not say that diectly. In which case, you have to udnerstand what "standby is". I'll look at it when i get home, and i'll see if i can find it.

confident, that's authentic. nevertheless the Saudis could situation warning first to Israeli plane. they do in comparison to Israel, nor have relatives, yet i could assume a minimum of that. The Iranian government could no longer be so advantageous, given their rhetoric. Neither airlines belonging to the two can enter Israeli airspace, the two.

A clearance to enter Class B airspace from the south might be "Fly heading 360." No mention has to be made of "Class B".

I agree with 'dumbasspilot' - You're a CFI??

Think you should probably know how to find that info.

I do, and I'm not an instructor.....
