Questions about X-Plane 10?

I have Microsoft FSX and I've heard that X-plane (10) is much better. I just had a few questions about it:
1. Is it worth the money?
2. How much space is needed? (to run smoothly without freezing, crashing, etc)
3. How does it compare to FSX?
4. Why do you like/dislike it and Why would you/would not recommend it?

hell if I know, I haven't touched a flight sim in years since I started actual flight training, and also this isn't a flight sim forum
