The possibility is there. If the Delta pilots go on strike, Ch 7 is inevitable for the carrier. Things aren't looking much better for Northwest. The cost of fuel will be a factor in these airlines being able to stay affloat. Buying Jet A is costing the airlines hundreds of millions of dollars more than anticipated only 2-3 years ago, and is pushing a few to the brink.

I think Delta is going to, because they are pushing the career programs right now. Northwest is doing pretty good I think. But Delta really wants employees, but maybe Delta can't afford employees because of expenses?
